Summer Fun

There’s plenty to do at Big Bend Lodge. We have a private beach with a lovely, deep swimming hole and several more private little beaches and nooks along the the river. And lots of old-school summer games like volleyball, horseshoes, basketball and ping pong as well as a tire swing hung from a big oak tree.  There’s also more than enough space for you to set up your own badminton, croquet and petanque.  At night we often build a campfire and gather round for games and stories and the lodge is stocked with board games and books.

We provide inner tubes free of charge but our insurance policy only allows the usage of them at our main beach. If you would like to explore more of the river we ask that you bring your own tubes or rafts.

Happily, we do not have televisions or internet access and cell-phone signal is unreliable.

Or go to nearby Confusion Hill for some old-time family fun.  For those who want to explore the coast, we are about an hour and a half away.
